New Survey Reveals 14% Of Men Are Turned On By Their Amazon Echo

The Survey Was Conducted By We-Vibe, A Company That Sells App-Enabled Sex Toys

July 21, 2020

For many people, relationships with others can be extremely difficult to navigate. While most continue in the search for their perfect match, some give up on dating completely, and turn to other sources of companionship. Apparently that number is much larger than expected, as a recent survey shows a shocking number of men who admit to falling in love with an inanimate object.

According to the survey, 14% of men admitted to being turned on by Alexa, Amazon Echo’s proprietary voice recognition software. While this number seems shockingly high, it should be noted that the survey was conducted by We-Vibe, a company that sells app-enabled sex toys, and only asked 1,000 people. Still, a decent amount of them responded to having feelings for their Amazon Echo.

While most use their Amazon Echo to listen to music, or set a timer, apparently a decent amount are building actual relationships talking with Alexa. This survey quickly went viral, with many comparing it to the movie, ‘Her,’ where the main character falls in love with a similar piece of technology. Based on these numbers, it seems people are getting way too comfortable in quarantine.
