Netflix Releases Trailer For Upcoming Jerry Seinfeld Comedy Special

It Will Be The Comedians First Original Stand Up Special In 22 Years

April 24, 2020

Jerry Seinfeld is back doing what he does best; making people laugh from the comfort of their own home. It has been 22 years since the iconic stand up has released an original stand up special, though he has been consistently performing stand up on the road for years. Now, Netflix has released the trailer for his latest special, due out next month.

‘Seinfeld,’ the hit series from the comedian, ended in 1998, but with many stuck at home due to the coronavirus, it seemed like the perfect time for Jerry Seinfeld to return to making people laugh form home. In the trailer, Seinfeld is shown chained to a table, before being shown onstage at the Beacon Theatre in New York City, where the special was recorded. “Who designed the bathroom stall with the under-display viewing window, so we can all see the lifeless, collapsed pant legs and tragic little shoe fronts that are just barely poking out from underneath the impotent belt lying helpless?” he jokes in the trailer.

According to Netflix, other topics discussed in the special are “talking vs. texting, bad buffets vs. so-called ‘great’ restaurants and the magic of Pop Tarts.” ‘Jerry Seinfeld: 23 Hours To Kill’ will premiere on Netflix May 5.
