This week marked the 40th anniversary of the release of the second Star Wars film, ‘The Empire Strikes Back.’ While the franchise has expanded in the years since, with a new trilogy in recent years, the original trilogy still holds a special place in the hearts of all Star Wars fans. Now, to celebrate the special anniversary a new time capsule website has been launched to honor the film.

The website honoring ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ includes behind-the-scenes footage, artwork from the film, and archive interviews with George Lucas and the cast. Also included is a special poster designed by artist Matt Ferguson. The time capsule website will make sure artifacts from the film are remembered well into the future.

Star Wars fans now have yet another source of endless franchise content. Along with the website, Star Wars continues to put out stuff for fans to enjoy, including a recent live stream event and a new ‘Galaxy Of Adventures’ short. While fans will have to wait some time before seeing a new Star Wars movie, there will be plenty of new content along the way.
