Frank Iero Of My Chemical Romance Says The Band Gets Together For An Annual BBQ

January 21, 2019

Everyone just wants to see Gerard Way and the boys get back together for a reunion tour. For now, we’ll settle for some new music from Frank Iero.

My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero recently sat down with Seaton O’Connor and mentioned what had happened when they released their reissue. Iero also told him that the whole band gets together for an annual BBQ.

“Every year, we meet and have a barbecue kind of thing. We’ll have the barbecue, kids will hang out and we’ll discuss business for the next year.”

Iero discussed how back in 2016 everyone thought the band was getting back together after they released a trailer for the 10-year anniversary for the ‘Black Parade’ reissue.

"We wanted to do a 10-year anniversary release of it… and we were like, ‘Oh, cool. We’ll put it all together. And we were like, ‘Oh, that would be really cool. We should do a little teaser trailer for it. Alright, that’s what we’ll do.’ So, we told the lady what we wanted, and they made this trailer, and we released it. And all of a sudden we were like, ‘Oh, wait. Everyone’s real confused.’"

Right now Frank Iero about to release a new album under his new band, Frank Iero and the Future Violents. Their album is expected to drop sometime this spring.

Looks like we’ll have to wait for that reunion a little bit longer.
