FORT WORTH, TX (April 23, 2019) – Fortress Festival, Fort Worth’s premier music festival, is proud to reveal today the 2019 food lineup featuring a variety of locally-based restaurants and vendors, as well as special on-site offerings. The third annual music festival is returning Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 to Fort Worth, Texas, with tickets on sale now at www.FortressFestival.com.

This year’s festival will feature a variety of tasty options from Fort Worth as well as across the state of Texas, with notable participants including Hopdoddy Burger Bar, who is acting as an official 2019 sponsor to serve its mouth-watering burgers on site throughout the event; plus Fort Worth’s own foodie hotspots like Avoca Coffee Roasters, Melt Ice Creams, Righteous Foods, and Salsa Limón.

New to this year, Fortress Festival has partnered with beloved local eatery Righteous Foods to create a festival-exclusive menu. Inspired by one of this year’s top acts, Superorganism, Righteous Foods will serve the “Super Churro-ganism,” which features their signature cinnamon-dusted churro served warm with a side of Tea de Chocolate. Additionally, another popular local eatery, Salsa Limón, will be serving a special version of their carnitas pork and chicken tacos which will be served with Fortress Festival-themed colored tortillas. Patrons are encouraged to stop by both vendors to experience each offering during the festival.

New to the festival is the Vegan Village, a dedicated food court comprised entirely of DFW-based, plant-based restaurateurs and vendors, hand picked by Fort Worth’s own Spiral Diner power couple Amy McNutt and James Johnston. These offerings will include vendors like The Corn Dog Guy, serving up all-vegan corn dogs; the Latina-women-owned Reverie Bakeshop; Vegan Vibrationz, most known for its popular stand at the Shed at the Dallas Farmers Market, and Spiral Diner & Bakery, offering "vegan comfort food from the Lone Star State."

VIP attendees will be able to purchase an exclusive offering from Jenny Castor of Luckybee Kitchen on Sunday, April 28. The curated menu will include the first course of Charcuterie Cones, second course of Blue Softshell Crab Grill with creamy roasted potatoes dauphinoise and jumbo grilled spring onions, and a dessert of Luckybee’s Chocolate Cupcake. These meals will be available for purchase by VIP for $29 in advance and $33 on the day of the show. An additional exclusive VIP meal will be soon be announced for Saturday, April 27.

In partnership with the internationally acclaimed Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Fortress Festival 2019 will again offer music lovers from North Texas and across the country a boutique music festival experience celebrating music, art, and culture. Similar to last year, the event will take place in the highly renowned Cultural District of Fort Worth—home to some of the most lauded art museums in the country, including Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and Kimbell Art Museum—and will be entirely housed within the spacious lawn adjacent to the Will Rogers Coliseum, featuring two outdoor main stages with non-overlapping sets to ensure fans are able to catch every minute of each performance on each main stage.

Continuing the tradition set in the fest’s inaugural year, both GA and VIP Fortress Festival passes offer free access to the Modern Museum of Fort Worth’s award-winning galleries and exhibits. New this year, this benefit will be extended to include the week prior to the festival, beginning on Tuesday, April 23 and continuing through Sunday, April 28. During the festival, the Modern’s galleries will remain open until 9 p.m. for Fortress pass holders after they close to the public at 5 p.m.

This will mark the third annual Fortress Festival, which cumulatively has played host to over 20,000 total attendees across the event’s first two years.
