Fort Worth Holding COVID-19 Mask Distribution Event

FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - The City of Fort Worth is trying to make it as easy as possible for businesses to comply with the mask mandate.

On Wednesday morning, Fort Worth businesses can pick up as many as 250 masks for free.

"We partnered with the city Fort Worth and a couple of other business support organizations to purchase 250,000 masks that we're handing out for free to local and small businesses in Fort Worth," says Jarratt Watkins, director of Fort Worth Now.

Those businesses can give them to their employees, as well as their customers and visitors.

"What we're trying to do is do what we can to alleviate some of that burden on businesses by making masks available free of charge, so that they can have them and they can hand them out to their customers as they come into the store, and they can use them for their employees as they interact with customers and get as many people wearing a mask as possible," says Watkins.

Obtaining the masks will be easy for businesses.

"All you have to do is go to one of our eight distribution locations that are all going to be set up on Wednesday, July 1, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.," Watkins says. "It'll be as simple as handing us a business card, and will hand you up to 250 masks."
